Learn the history behind some of today’s most popular healing herbs. Information presented will include identifying useful plant parts, how the active constituents work in the body, growing/harvesting the herbs, and simple, effective healing preparations.

The first in a series that will take an in depth look at 4 healing herbs each class. Students will benefit by attending the whole series or any one class.

March 8 Saturday 1:00 “Tobacco Commitment Pouch” Native American Workshop
Winter is known as the time of silent contemplation; a time to go inward and ponder the mystery of our lives.  Tobacco is the most sacred of the four sacred medicines of native peoples of the Americas.  Together, we will make a tobacco commitment pouch to help us release any patterns that may be blocking us from "healing and manifesting" our hopes and dreams of this New Year.

Come learn about nutritious spring greens and how to prepare them for delicious meals, plus tips on maintaining a vegetarian lifestyle. From the rich tradition of Chinese design and space arrangement comes to us the art of Feng Shui. Simple, natural principles aid us in the tasks of choosing colors, shapes and materials when arranging the inside and the outside of our homes. Learn the basics of how to create indoor and outdoor spaces that nurture and affirm life. Being happy, healthy, prosperous and free is just a little easier if surrounded by the right environment
