Herbal Workshop $25

Salad and stir-fry greens love cool weather, so take advantage of the fall season to grow a container full on your porch or patio. These cut and come again organic greens will supply plenty for the kitchen all season, and you will be pleasantly surprised how easy and rewarding it is! Students will plant and take home an organic container salad/stir-fry garden, and growing/harvesting information.

Try This

Erin’s Lemony Whipped Hand Cream

Ingredients:
 
½ cup each:
Shea butter
Coco butter
Coconut oil
Sweet almond oil
20 drops of Lemon essential oil
 
Directions:
 
  1. In a double boiler combine all ingredients except lemon essential oil.
  2. Heat until just melted
  3. Remove from heat, cool slightly and stir in lemon essential oil
  4. Allow to cool until it slightly hardens but is still somewhat soft
  5. With a hand mixer, whip until fluffy. Scoop into jars, label and store in a cool place

Kathy has presented herbal programs in Knoxville, Tennessee at the Dogwood Arts Home and Garden Show, The University of Tennessee Gardens "Blooms Days", The Healthy Living Expo, The Knoxville Botanic Gardens, and in Memphis for the Memphis Botanic Gardens.
