Erin's Meadow Herb Farm began as a weekend business for Kathleen (Kathy) Erin Burke-Mihalczo and husband John T. Mihalczo Jr.
Twelve acres of land located just outside the city of Oak Ridge, Tennessee turned into a home based business selling fresh cut herbs at local farmers markets.
Cold frames grew into three greenhouses, and herbal display gardens were built over the first five years. Greenhouse plant production produced thousands of herbs, some varieties rarely seen for sale at the time.
Herbal education programs were held outside in the gardens under a tent and brought gardeners and cooks alike to the herb farm, eager to learn herb growing methods and culinary techniques. Interest in plant based medicine resurfaced and Erin's Meadow Herb Farm became a local source for herbal medicine makers.
In 2005 the herb shop and kitchen classroom were constructed. Herbal education classes and workshops expanded. A large production garden was built to grow herbs and vegetables used in classes. 2005 also brought the first wedding held in the herb gardens. The years to follow brought film crews to the farm from Jewelry Television, PBS, and local Knoxville TV stations.
Erin's Meadow Herb Farm is dedicated to the beauty, usefulness, and enjoyment of herbs! We love sharing our knowledge and passion for herbs with friends and clients!

Crow Caller writes about his life and journey---“In 1990 I began a journey of remembrance. Having come from a background of traditional Christian teachings, the study of world religions, and deep involvement with A Course in Miracles, I was led by Spirit to become active in the study and practice of Native American teachings and Shamanism. On this journey I expanded my studies to include Hawaiian and Celtic Shamanism. When researching my family history, I discovered a Native Cherokee Indian ancestry in my mother’s lineage that led me to a deeper appreciation and dedication to walking the Good Red Road. My Shamanic training comes from the teachings of Michael Harner and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies as well as Huna (Hawaiian) Shamanism taught by Serge Kahili King. The Shamanic procedures I incorporate into my practice include Soul Retrievals, Shamanic Extraction, and Shamanic Counseling. I also facilitate hands-on workshops on these techniques.
In 1992 I met Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow (a Southern Ute), and Native American Elder Picuris Pueblo, and began yet another journey. Beautiful Painted Arrow gave his Teachings and Blessings for me to facilitate Sweat Lodges and to lead Dances based on his visions. Over the years I have been involved with the leadership and facilitation of Long Dances, Drum Dances, and Moon/Sun Dances in the United States and Australia. I also guide individual and group Vision Quests and teach explorations of the Medicine Wheel, modalities which provide experiential opportunities for life changes.
For the past ten years I have been actively involved in the ManKind Project USA, an international men’s network of interdependent centers. We are an order of men called to reclaim the sacred masculine for our time, through initiation, training, and action in the world
